In Danger Of Losing You Home?
Are you one of the many who have been hit hard by COVID-19? Is your mortgage in jeopardy? Do you feel that foreclosure is the only way out? Are you at odds as to what to do and how to save your home? Are you looking for a solution, but just do not know what do to or where to start?
Please take a step back and know that any confusion and fear that you are experiencing is very normal. The crisis was unexpected and the chances are very strong, like so many others, that you did not foresee such drastic changes in your life. Many people are feeling exactly the same way as you are feeling right now, but there is something you can do about it.
Firstly, while most people will take a club and beat themselves up for the predicament they may be in now, you can take more pro-active steps at finding solutions and even possible opportunities that your “dilemma” may be presenting.
Take a step back and assess where you are at right now. Let go of your past expectations. By hanging onto these, you will not be able to move forward. The tide has changed and if you do not change with it and quickly, you stand to lose what you have just by hanging onto old ideas and expectations.
If you this differently, you may be able to turn it around and turn this into an opportunity or at the very least, come out of this situation without losing too much if anything at all. So please set past expectations aside and get off the treadmill of blame, victim-hood or “what ifs” and be proactive.
Be BOLD and put a stop to the self-defeating voice in your head and TAKE ACTION NOW! There is no time like the present to change your situation around and make it work for you. I challenge you not to wait until the morning, but take up the challenge and start today.
Don’t worry about not knowing everything or going about this perfectly. Just start. Once you start looking at solutions you can always make changes along the way as you gather more information and become more knowledgeable about your situation. The idea is to take action. It is far more productive to do something about your situation than wallow in it. I am sure you have done your fair share of that and that is fine, but any more of that will keep you stuck and in danger of losing what you have worked so hard for.
RESISTING ACTION BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW:
- HOW to start
- WHAT to do
- WHEN is the right time
- WHO to speak to
ALTERNATIVELY YOU MAY BE:
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Lacking motivation,
- Paralyzed by fear
STRATEGIES TO HELP YOU RIGHT NOW:
- Accept what has happened. That does not mean you have to like it, accepting the new reality is a step forward to unlocking your anxiety.
- Become very clear on where you stand. Get clarity.
- Look at what you have to lose or to gain.
- Be willing to look at alternatives. (Seek out-of-the box type solutions)
- Ask yourself if there is a way that situation could benefit yourself and your family.
- Moving forward may mean leaving some things behind – what could that be?
- Look at the bigger picture. How do you see this crises in 1, 2 or 5 years time?
- What is needed right now to that will benefit you the most in your future? (by using your present circumstances)
One of the best strategies to cope with overwhelm is to find out as much information as possible. When you have all the information and have done all you can for now, trust in yourself! Trust that no matter what happens to you, you will be able to handle it. Think of all the things that you have handled in your lifetime up until now. You made it possible.
4-STEP PLAN TO TAKE BACK CONTROL:
- DECIDE to do something.
- BE WILLING to do whatever it takes.
- COMMIT to the process.
Lastly get support from the right people. Seek expert help. You do not need to go through this on your own. If you are stuck and need help in moving forward right now and finding the best possible solutions consider talking to a financial expert, a coach, the bank, a property guru or anyone else you feel may be the right person to provide you with helpful information.
Wishing you the very, very best at this time!
Much love,
