Taking Care of Yourself at Home and Abroad.

16/10/2006

When last did you really take care of yourself? I am not surprised to find out that generally people do not because they think it is selfish and self-indulgent.This could not be further from the truth. My experiences have shown me that when I do take care of myself in the ways that I need to, it is only then that I am truly capable of being of real service to someone else. As expats it can be even tougher for us. Where do we go, what do we do to take care of ourselves and how to go about it? It’s  Well, the good news is that self-care is not something that requires money, venues and elaborate plans.

There are many ways in which you can take care of yourself whether at home or abroad. I have listed 10 below. As a success plan for the week, how about choosing 3 tips from the list and put them into practice everyday. Be aware of how it affects your relationships with others. You might just discover that by indulging and taking care of yourself, you are in fact enabling yourself to help others by just being YOU. It is also very possible that it could add another perspective to your life and create new dimensions to your adventures abroad.
